Collection: PL Series

Originally created as a centerpiece for a garden installation, the concept for the sculptural planter collection evolved into a modern functional and decorative industrial art piece. The sculpting process, that begins with a lump of clay in the palm of Marie Khouri's hands, produces the free flowing curves that take shape as each planter is turned degree by degree to achieve a unique and distinctive design. Engineered for both interior as well as exterior use, the sculptural planter series is Marie's first creation intended for industrial production, yet each planter in the series still conveys that definitive sense of atelier work. Constructed in rotationally molded polyethylene, the planter molds undergo a specialized and laborious finishing process resulting in perfectly smooth surfaces available in a wide range of colors despite a strong stylistic correspondence, each of these large modern planters varies greatly in size and volume accommodating almost any large space.

Vancouver based sculptor Marie Khouri is the designer of the bbl and the oversized sculptural planters, Cristae. These products are produced by Northwest Plastics Ltd. a leader producing high quality architectural plastics through rotational molding since 1973.  For more information on Northwest Plastics please visit Northwest Plastics.
